1-1; +0.00pts (system plays: 9-8-3) Round 1 play (4pts): Marcus Fraser to beat Keith Horne -120 @ 5Dimes WON by 6 Big difference in class between these two: whereas Fraser was competing in the WGC-Cadillac Championship last month, Horne has been really struggling on the European Tour, missing four of his last five cuts. They haven't played in the same event this year, but in 2010, Horne managed to finish ahead of Fraser just once. He looks unlikely to reverse this trend this week. [unofficial rd1 system plays: Gallacher tb Lara +100 (W); Garrido tb Randhawa -111 (T); Bhasin tb Khor -125 (L); Lam tb Plaphol -120 (L); Strange tb Singh S -130 (W); Gibson tb Nachimuthu -120 (W); Lawrie tb Cabrera-Bello -120 (W); Edfors tb Kingston -120 (L); Aphibarnrat tb Lafeber -120 (W); Hansen tb Noren -125 (L)] Round 2 play (4pts): Alejandro Canizares to beat Stephen Gallacher +110 @ 5Dimes LOST by 2 Gallacher played well today to lie in 3rd place after the opening round, but he has a particularly bad record from this position. Over the last 10 years, he has failed to record a single 2nd round in the 60s when starting it in the top-5; even if this is extended to starting the 2nd round in the top-10, only once in the last decade has he followed up a good opening round with one in the 60s. He was in good form in January/February, but as usual his high finishes were from a slow start. Canizares is only two shots back in 9th place and clearly likes this course as he finished 14th here last year. He was eight shots ahead of Gallacher that time and their histories suggest that he will be ahead of Gallacher after tomorrow's round. [unofficial rd2 system plays: Colsaerts tb Gallacher +110 (T); Schwartzel tb Kruger -163 (W); Schwartzel tb Noh -145 (W); Donaldson tb Liang -105 (L); Fraser tb Kruger -130 (T); Fraser tb Gaunt -111 (L); Rumford tb Drysdale -135 (W); Randhawa tb Mamat -110 (L); Bourdy tb Kingston -111 (W); Oosthuizen tb Manassero -125 (L)] No further plays in this event.
