10-0; +5.94pts

Pre-tournament plays:

Byeong Hun An 55  39th
Patrick Reed 16.5  51st
Rafa Cabrera-Bello 44  10th
Ernie Els 430  72nd
The odds on An look rather short for a player who has no course experiance and has played just once - finishing 15th in the lowly Shinhan Donghae Open - since missing the cut in PGA Championship in July
Reed was the star the Ryder Cup and this is his first start since that event, but he hasn't threated in any of the last three years here, finishing 40th, 26th and 10th, and he is less than half the odds that he has been in any of the Playoff events, so 16.5 looks rather short
Cabrera-Bello is another who hasn't played much golf recently apart from the Ryder Cup - this is his first Tour start in nine weeks - and given that he has missed the cut in the last two occasions that he has played at Kuala Lumpur GC, his is a player to oppose at these odds
That is also the case for Els who is playing his first event since missing the cut in the Wyndham Championship nine weeks ago and finished 64th of 78 last year

Pre-rd3 plays:

Adam Scott 110  10th
Kevin Na 230  29th
Ryan Moore 23  17th
Scott is a long way back - nine shots and in 24th place - so these odds look rather short for that leaderboard position and given that Thomas was also leading after 36 holes last year and went on to win this event
The odds are twice as big on Na, but there is still value here given that he is alongside Scott in 24th place and nine shots behind the defending champion
Moore is a more realistic challenger - he is in 8th place and six shots off the pace - and he is a two-time winner of this event (2013, 2014), but his game has not been very sharp this week - he ranks 37th in greens in regulation so he will need to play much better over the weekend to close this six shot gap

Pre-rd4 plays:

Hideki Matsuyama 11.5  2nd
Brendan Steele 180  26th
Derek Fathauer 36  3rd
Maruyama won in Japan last week, but he has been playing as well this week, ranking outside the top-10 in driving accuracy and greens in regulation, so I price him at longer odds to overhaul the five-shot gao to the leader during this round
Steele is eight shots back so it will take a career-round to win this week, but as he won the Safeway Open last week then I would expect, as with Matsuyama, some contention fatigue in today's final round
Fathauer is alongside Matsuyama and so five shots back, but given that his best-ever finish on the PGA Tour (and only top-5 finish) was 4th in the OHL Classic last year, I don't expect him to make any significant moves today
