5-1; -0.45pts Pre-tournament plays: BACK 1pt Anirban Lahiri 23 7th Kyung-Tae Kim 85 (& lay 1pt in-running @ 55 matched) 34th Lahiri has an excellent record in Malaysia - he won the 2015 Malaysian Open, and has plenty of other top-3 finishes in this country: 2016 CIMB Classic (3rd); 2014 Selangor Masters (3rd); 2013 Selangor Masters (2nd). Plus, in the last few weeks he has finished 25th in the CareerBuilder Challenge and 19th in last week's Dubai Desert Classic, so I would price him at least four points lower Kim is another player in good form with a 3rd place finish last time out (Myanmar Open) and a 2nd place finish in December on the finale of the Japan Tour season. He is yet to finish inside the top-10 on the European Tour despite being in that position during an event, so I'll back him to at least go lower than these odds during the week LAY 20pts liability Matthew Southgate 390 mc Oliver Fisher 400 wd A couple of small players on players who have shown no form recently. In his four starts in 2017, Southgate has finished mc-mc-mc-56th and he has never previously played a Tour event in Malaysia so can be easily opposed to win. Fisher form and experience is better, but his best previous finish in this country is 40th and while he has been able to record occasional good rounds, only once in the last 30 months has he started the weekend inside the top-10, so I don't see him being competitive Pre-rd3 plays: LAY 20pts liability Lee Westwood 70 26th Pablo Larrazabal 130 29th Westwood jumped 70 places to 19th on the back of today's 66 but that still leaves him seven shots off the pace. He did win the Malaysian Open on this course 20 years ago, but that shows how long it has been since he was at the top of his game and it has been 18 years since he won from outside the top-15 after 36 holes Larrazabal also made a sizeable move up the leaderboard today and is alongside Westwood in 19th place, seven shots off the pace. But given that he has never won from outside the top-10 or more than four shots off the pace after 36 holes, he has a lot of work to do over the weekend to get into contention. No rd4 plays.
