A rare appearance on the Australasian Tour who has won 15 times on the Japan Tour where he hasn't played since finishing 4th in the season-ending 2019 Nippon Series JT Cup. During the last two covid-affected years, he has been focusing on landscaping rather than trying to return to the Japan Tour, but that may be likely this year, particularly after he finished 2nd after a playoff in the TPS Sydney two weeks ago, his only start since this event last year.
