Tipping on this Challenge Tour is one of the hardest gigs in my twenty-plus years of punting, but this weeks event looks like needing a certain type of player, so we'll take three against the field for small stakes.

DOMINIQUE NOVAILHAC - 0.25 points each-way @ 250-1 (Skybet)

Hasn't won since 2001, but clearly relishes playing at home, with top-15s in his last two outings around this undulating and often windy course. Has started well on both outings here and may be inspired to carry it on.

OSKAR HENNINGSON - 0.25 points each-way @ 66-1 (Skybet )

Beat a better class field in the 2009 Czech event with great putting but hasn't kicked on. Needs to resurrect a career that was solidly placed on the main Tour and 15th in the tough opening Indian event may give him the spur to believe again.

CHRISTOPHER HANSON - 0.50 points each-way @ 33-1 (Skybet)

Qualified for the Challenge Tour after a super Europro season (highlights often on Sky), and is flying at present, 30th in India being followed by a top-5 in Columbia. He won't mind any wind and is the best of the short prices.

 JURRIAN VAN DER VAART - 0.25 points each-way @ 80-1 (Skybet)

Has the occassional decent event but struggles to carry his form for very long. It may therefore be prudent to get him whilst he is hot, and that 10th in Kenya ay inspire him to play as well as he did in Russia last year, finishing 6th in slightly better company. The Kenya effort was noteworthy for his first and final rounds in the id-60s and that after a poor mid-event. Around here, he has missed the cut narrowly twice but it is crucial mistakes rather than bad play that has caused a best of 60th - expect improvement.

Total stakes 2.5 points
