London Seniors Masters A lot of the attention will be on Torrance and Mason this week as they battle it out for the Order of Merit title. We also have the introduction of Jose Rivero to the Senior Tour. The last player to win on his debut was John Bland in this very event, in 1995. 10 years later and he's 10/1 4th favourite to win it again. Quite impressive!!
I certainly didn't expect to be backing Longmuir this week after his victory in the previous tour event. Longmuir's performance in Copenhagen was a stunning display of shot-making and in the end held Cali quite comfortably. He has an impressive end-of-season record with 3 top ten finishes out of 5 from September onwards in 2004 and 3 out of 4 in 2003. He also has the benefit of course knowledge as he is the professional at the London Golf Club. Surprisingly (well to me anyway) I reckon he actually represents some value here and 10/1 would be a closer representation of his chances.
