Matchup bets: (All bets: Total Stake 3pts)

Tom Kite to beat Bob Gilder                           -111 @ Expekt

Kite showed a return to form last time out, is well suited to links golf and was 4th here in 2003. Gilder has

shown improved form this year but is still behind 7-6-1 on this seasons h2h's on the Champions Tour. On a

links course where he has shown good previous form he should be a strong favourite here.

Mark James to beat Sam Torrance               -110Paddy Power / Sporting Odds

Torrance has been impressive on the tour so far this year, but this presents a step up in class. James leads

the h2h's on the Seniors Tour by 4-0, on the Champions Tour 7-3 and since the beginning of 2004 by 11-3.

With James's recent return to form and his good finish here in 2003 he should be around -135 here.

Matchup bets: (All bets: Total Stake 2pts)

Mark McNulty to beat Dana Quigley             -110 @ BetFred

McNulty has been consistent on the Champions Tour this season while Quigley has shown the better form of

late. But McNulty leads the h2h's this season 8-6, he has the greater links golf experience and finished 11th

here in the 1993 Open Championship. Quigley has previous finishes in this event of 10th and 22nd while

McNulty's record reads 5th and 8th place finishes.

Loren Roberts to beat Tom Watson               -110Pinnacle

Watson has a lot going for him having won this event last year, having won the Open Championship here and

his impressive links record. But Roberts is the better player, looks to be coming into form nicely and has a very

decent record on links courses. Roberts won the last 4 h2h's in the Open Championship, he finished 5th behind

Watson inlast years event in treacherous conditions at Aberdeen, he leads Watson 5-2 in h2h's this season and

his last startsin the Open resulted in finishes of 18-mc-28-07-13-28. His record cannot be compared to Watson's

but it's still pretty decent and given his overall superiority I make him a fairly strong favourite here at around -125.
