Aa St. Omer Open
FINAL RESULT: 0-2; -3.00pts
Giner 49th
Hepworth 6th
No return from the plays even though it could have been a bonanza
week. Hepworth had been in contention all week and birdied the first
hole in his final round to be in 1st place. Sadly, he played like a
100/1 shot thereafter, shooting 3-over-par when level-par would have
secured him the title.

Ivo Giner to win 40/1 e.w. available generally
The big-hitting Spaniard is a former winner in France (2003 Open des
Volcans) and has been making an impact on the European Tour,
particularly when he ranked No.1 in China and Indonesia in greens in
regulation earlier this year, finishing 7th in China, and more recently
finishing 25th in the KLM Open last week. That form is certainly
comparable to the best in this field and having two year's of experience
on this course, he should certainly contend against this, effectively,
Challenge Tour field.
James Hepworth to win 100/1 e.w. @
Centrebet
Hepworth is back on the Challenge Tour after a year on the main Tour,
but the experience will have done him good, particularly for these
co-sanctioned events. His early season form in the co-sanctioned events
was very impressive, but even though it has tailed off since, that has
largely been the case in the last two years and yet he has still
finished 4th in this event both times. He clearly has a strong liking
for the course and so should not be at such large odds.
