Spread Picks - European Tour

Tipster: Andy

Odds: Spreads

BMW Championship

Summary: In the end, we came out just in front in an event which was probably the most volatile for us this season so far. With 12 trades (and 8 in the Fedex) all making the cut we were open to some large financial swings. Too many players shot well today to stop us having a big win but they had all struggled sufficiently enough yesterday. Profit = 7 Pts.

Finishing Positions (0.5 Pt Stakes)

Pre Round Three Trades

Buy Luke Donald at 26 with Sporting Index M/U 19.5, Loss 3.25 Pts

Buy Colin Montgomerie at 36 with Spreadex M/U 14, Loss 11 Pts

Buy Graeme McDowell at 34 with Sporting Index M/U 29.5, Loss 2.25 Pts

Buy Thomas Levet at 39 with Spreadex M/U 43.5, Profit 2.25 Pts

Buy Henrik Stenson at 38 with Spreadex M/U 50, Profit 6 Pts

Buy Lee Westwood at 30.5 (Spread Free) with Spreadex M/U 29.5, Loss 0.5 Pts
Another set of prices where we can contest the offer and although we now have 11 bets on players who have all made the cut the prices are value. Also at the moment, although this will of course change given the quality of players we are trading, none are in the Top 20.

Pre Round Two Trades

Buy Ernie Els at 19 with IG Sport M/U 43.5, Profit 12.25 Pts

Buy Stephen Dodd at 19 with IG Sport M/U 43.5, Profit 12.25 Pts

Buy Thomas Bjorn at 24 with IG Sport M/U 23.5, Loss 0.25 Pts

Buy Jose Maria Olazabal at 27 with IG Sport M/U 23.5, Loss 1.75 Pts
All of these are contestable prices and should be traded.

Pre Round One Trades

Buy Richard Sterne at 37 with IG Sport M/U 23.5, Loss 6.75 Pts
Another event where trying to find an obvious play before the start is a bit difficult. At 37 with IG, Sterne is probably the best value of the prices currently available. 42nd on this course in his only previous experience, Sterne had went off the boil a little since an impressive run early in the year. However, he came back with a 9th place in Ireland at the weekend so at face value 37 may seem poor but given his full record over the last year or so in Europe, 37 is worth it.
