Finishing Positions (0.5 Pt Stakes)
Summary:
A week of completely contrasting results
where we gained some good success with the high priced buys before R3
but three of the four trades placed on those high up after R1 were
substantial losers. Jimenez's weekend collapse ended up being the
difference between a losing week and a winning one.

Five further trades for us where with 74 qualifying players separated by
8 shots bar the leader, Dodd, means a fairly tight weekend where
anything could happen with a low or high score. Even allowing for this
though, the prices allocated to these five players are too short.
Pre Round Two Trades.

Buy Stephen Dodd

M/U 1, Loss 10 Pts.
All of the above players are fairly
low prices given the compact state of the leaderboard. Although they are
all quality players this is a tough course and it just takes getting the
worst of the conditions and you are struggling to contend when not on a
level playing field. That may happen tomorrow.
Buy
Nick Dougherty at 20 with
Sporting Index M/U 3.5, Loss 8.25 Pts.
With 5 shots on a very difficult course separating 82 players, Dougherty
should really be as much as 22-25 in this event. He does have an early
round tomorrow and may get the best of the conditions but getting them
doesn't guarantee a good score. Therefore it is best we trade this just
now and realise there are 54 holes for Dougherty to come back towards
the traded price.
Pre Round One Trades.

Buy Padraig
Harrington at 20 with Spreadex
M/U 6, Loss 7 Pts.
Harrington is very hit and miss at the moment. A win and a further Top
10 in the US has been accompanied by a 75th last time out, a missed cut
at Augusta and two further 50 M/U's in Florida at the Honda and at
Sawgrass. With this being a new course there is very little to go on
with regards how he is likely to fit into the course type we have this
week but all things considered 20 seems low in what is a half decent
field.
