Summary: 3 Bets, 2 Wins, 1 Loss. Profit 10.8 Pts Tournament Trades Buy Ian Poulter FP at 27 with IG Sport for 0.4 Pts M/U 50, Profit 9.2 Pts We lost last week on Poulter as he continued a good run of form brought over from the PGA tour but for the exact same reasons that we opposed him in the Irish Open a few weeks ago, namely his form in Ireland, we shall therefore oppose him again at a rather low quote of 27. His Irish form over 7 years is: Played 13, Top 50's 2, Missed cuts and withdrawals 9. His average FP is 45 in these events and although he is playing well, it has to be remembered we achieved the maximum possible return in May opposing Poulter when, although starting R4 in the top 10, he shot 85 to finish 60th. Also, the limited course form available here shows Poulter shoot 75/76 in 2004 to miss the cut with ease. Round One Trades Sell Kenneth Ferrie over Lee Westwood 18H MB at 0 with Sporting Index for 0.2 Pts. M/U -19, Profit 3.8 Pts Ferrie is favourite here possibly due to the fact he is the defending champion and that Westwood is in a form slump. The argument for supporting Westwood is fair though. Ferrie has played 11 times in Ireland and missed 7 cuts with the win last year coming on a different course to the one being used this week. Westwood's record in the last 6 years in this country is 7/1/1/62/19/16/9/11/2/5/13. Of 11 events played that is an average FP of under 12 which compares favourably to Ferrie's 40. H2H's since the start of 05' in Europe show a 9-5 event lead and a 7-4-3 R1 scoring lead for Westwood suggesting that general results as well as local form point to Westwood being favourite, which he is not. Sell Soren Hansen over David Lynn 18H MB at 2 with Cantor Spreadfair for 0.2 Pts M/U 13, Loss 2.2 Pts Neither player has particularly good form in Ireland and in the one time that they played this course Hansen missed the cut whereas Lynn finished 38th. H2H's show a 18-11 18 month lead for Lynn and a 45-39 lead in all rounds played in that time which suggests they should be closer in price than they are. Hansen has shown the better recent form with two 2nd's in his last three events though his most recent round was an 80 in France on Sunday.
