Khan was a fast finishing 2nd last week at Wentworth and is a previous winner of this event 2 years ago. All this points to him being a contender this week. However, the win was on the main Celtic manor course which is being prepared for the Ryder Cup. The course being used this week was also used in 05 and it resulted in a MC for Khan. Also, his record this year bar the 2nd last week is dreadful. In 11 starts before last week he has beaten 50th only once. 

Buy Anthony Wall FP at 31 with IG Sport for 0.4 Pts M/U 14.5, Loss 6.6 Pts
Two top 10 s in a row for Wall who bar a 2nd in Portugal had done very little up until the last fortnight. Wall s average FP in 2005 was 39 and in 06 so far it is 19 over 5 events, a figure that cannot be sustained. This price is as low as it is due to a good set of numbers not only on current form this year but also on this new course last year where he finished 12th. Even so, 31 is too low for a player of Wall s calibre.

Round one scoring since 2004 sees a 4-3 lead for Lyle and on the one and only time this course has been used Lyle shot one stroke less over the 4 rounds. You have to allow for the fact that both players' careers are going in a different direction but Fisher just shouldn't be 9-12 favourite over 18 holes
