Bets 4, Wins 0, Losses 4. Loss 24.6 Pts. After a quick start out the blocks this season, a few poor results to curb the enthusiasm.

Bet 1 - Sell Phillip Archer over Nick Dougherty 18H MB at 0 with
Spreadex for 0.3 Pts M/U 19, Loss 5.7 Pts
Dougherty has a little bit of form in this region with two Top 10's whereas Archer has not performed at all in the few times he has came over. In the two events they both played in last year, here and at the Dubai Classic, Dougherty won both matches. Dougherty is favourite at some other firms and that seems the right call.

Bet 2 - Sell Ariel Canete over John Bickerton 18H MB at 0 with Spreadex for 0.3 Pts M/U 28, Loss 8.4 Pts
Canete is last weeks' winner, and looking back over his career, he has actually put in a few good performances in Africa. However, away from there and his own area of South America, his form is quite poor. In 21 starts on the European tour in 3 years he has one Top 30 finish. This is his first start in the Middle East so we are betting a little in the dark for how he will play here but he certainly hasn't taken, yet, to European Golf. Bickerton has made 5 of his last 6 cuts in this region and has two Top 30's in that time. He also leads Canete 5-3 in matches over 2006. Add all this to the fact that Canete may not be at 100% concentration after winning his first event only 4 days ago and we have a bet worth placing.

Bet 3 - Buy Alejandro Canizares over Jose-Filipe Lima 18H MB at 1.5 with IG Sport
 for 0.3 Pts M/U -13, Loss 4.35 Pts
Canizares burst onto the scene in 06' achieving 3 top 10's including a win in Russia and his h2h's with Lima were 4-2 in favour in that short space of time. I'm a little surprised he is not clear favourite here as he could grow in to a top class golfer whereas Lima has been around for long enough and we know his capabilities at the moment. Canizares might just propel himself to being one of the top players on this tour in the next year or two.

Bet 4 - Buy Lee Slattery over Oliver Fisher 18H MB at 1.5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U -19, Loss 6.15 Pts
After supporting a player with great potential, we oppose one now who has yet to show that potential on the course. In the three events both players have taken part, Slattery has won all three, and in 2006 Slattery posted 4 Top 10's in 21 starts. Wilson, meanwhile, in five starts, has 2 missed cuts and two finishes down the field in 4 events in 2006.
