Summary: 3 Bets, 1 Win, 2 Losses. Loss 14.4 Pts Bet 1 - Buy Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano FP at 34 with Sporting Index for 0.6 Pts M/U 7.5, Loss 15.9 Pts Last week's winner is opposed on price as 34 is very low on this scoring system for a player who has failed to beat 34 in 32 of 39 events going back 2 calendar years. This is of course a sparsely populated event for big names as most are in Florida but it isn't a great deal worse than last week's Italian event where Fernandez was quoted at a best priced 48. Bet 2 - Buy Carlos Rodiles FP at 42 with Sporting Index for 0.6 Pts M/U 56, Profit 8.4 Pts It would be very easy to think that because this is in Spain then the Spaniards will do well but that isn't always the case. If we are gonig to use the same example as above, Rodiles has played in 47 events in two years and failed to beat 42 on 37 occasions. An excellent 3rd in his own Open, Rodiles fell away to 37th last week in Italy. 42 is value. Bet 3 - Sell Carlos Rodiles over Lee Slattery 18H MB at 5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts. M/U 28, Loss 6.9 Pts Rodiles seems really popular this week and it all seems to be based on that aforementioned 3rd place in the Open De Espana in April. His H2H record with Slattery over 12 months shows a 5-9 deficit in tournaments, a 4-8-2 R1 record and a 8-20-2 record in all rounds played. However, Slattery is receiving a 5 point start tomorrow. |
