Justin Rose to win 7/1 @ William Hill, BetFred and Coral  9th
Rather than having a few selections, will just opt to back one player: Justin Rose, who has finally become the world class player over the last year that he had promised to be for so long. Over the last 13 months, he has competed in 27 events and finished in the top-15 on 20 occasions, including all four Majors and three of the four PGA Tour Playoff events. And then, not only did he win three of five matches in the Seve Trophy, but he finished 2nd in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last week. Such has been the level of his golf in the major events, he lies a very close 2nd to Padraig Harrington in the Order of Merit despite the Irishman winning the Open Championship and Rose only playing in 9 qualifying events. And what of his liking for Wentworth? He has played in this event only once (2002), losing in the 1st round by one hole to Vijay Singh, but more recently he finished 2nd via a playoff loss to Anders Hansen for the BMW PGA Championship in May this year and on his previous appearance at Wentworth (2004 Volvo PGA Championship), he had been the leader at the halfway cut. He's playing the best golf of any player in this field, has a good match play pedigree, has played extremely well around Wentworth in recent visits and is in the far easier half of the draw, so why should I bother picking another selection as well!
