Summary: 3 Bets, 1 Win, 2 Losses. Profit 3 Pts

Bet 1 - Buy Peter O'Malley FP at 46 with Spreadex for 0.6 Pts. M/U 75, Profit 17.4 Pts

O'Malley has put some good numbers together in the last few months. 3 Top 15's in a row in Asia over March/April, 4 Top 20's in Australia at the back end of last year and 2 Top 10's in the last two European events of last year. However, that seems to be factored into this price from Spreadex, even although his 2006 European form was sketchy. Those two top 10's were the highlights of 16 starts where he missed 5 cuts and had only one other clear Top 20 place in France where he was 7th. His form at this time of the year when the tour made it's way up to the northern part of Europe was poor and produced 2 missed cuts, a 56th and a 22nd in events in Wales, Ireland and England.

Bet 2 - Sell Alexander Noren over Iain Garbutt 18H MB at 2 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts.M/U 34, Loss 9.6 Pts
Garbutt leads 5-3 over a full year's golf and finished 22nd in Italy whilst Noren was withdrawing after an opening 75. I have no doubts that Noren will achieve more in his career to come than the more senior Garbutt has already achieved but this is a bet for tomorrow in the wind and rain of Ireland and I would much prefer to be on Garbutt with a fair start.

Bet 3 - Sell Louis Oosthuizen over Simon Khan 18H MB at 0 with
IG Sport for 0.3 Pts. M/U 16, Loss 4.8 Pts
Head to Head's sees a 10-3 tournament and 9-2-2 R1 lead for Khan which immediately makes the price value. However, there has to be a reason other than their respective scoring for this price and is because Oosthuizen is coming off of a 4th last week and had a 1st and 2nd in South Africa in February. Compared to that form, Khan is behind the South African, an 11th in Italy his best score in 2007. Even allowing for this though, Khan should be favourite as Oosthuizen in this region has done little with 6 cut misses and a 41st place in 7 starts in the British Isles in 2006.
