Another almost play from last week. Rare visitor to this venue also (last visit 2002, 56th finishing place). 60-MC last two European Tour finishes and a 1 year European Tour average finishing position of 55 make me feel Sporting's price is a little on the low side.

1 year tour average finishing position of 52. Latest starts 37 and 64 coupled with course form for the past three years of mc-31-47 make me happy to play this.

Oosthuizen has been playing well lately and that is the reason we are getting a point on our side here. His overall last year European Tour stats see his average R1 score at 71.4 with Wall slightly lower, and indeed over the past 6 months the stats are equally as close. Course average for R1 stats see Oosthuizen averaging a 73  for R1 and Wall 71.7. 1 Year h2h stats in the same events played sees Oostuizen winning 6 out of the 16 joint events contested.

Nirat has won just 5 of the 14 joint events over the past year on this tour. His average R1 score being 72.6 in comparison to Aguilars 71.8, over the past 6 months our choice is favoured even more 70.4 compared to Nirats 72.2. No course form for Aguilar. Nirat did put in a 74 on his only start here last year.

Larrazabal has won just 7 of the 16 joint events playeed over the past year. I year averages very similar, but over the past 6months Hedblom has a full stroke advantage and over the past 3months 2 strokes. Hedblom has plenty of course experience, put in a 69 in R1 last year. Larrazabal played just the once putting in a R1 77, admittedly quite a few years ago to have much relevance today.
