2-0; +4.30pts  (system plays: 6-6-2)

Round 1 play (2pts):

Markus Brier to beat Scott Jamieson +115 @ Unibet  WON by 2
Brier has been a regular in this event since the turn of the century and has missed the cut here just once in his last ten visits. With a top-10 finish last month, he has shown enough form to suggest that he should again continue his fine form around this course. Rookie Jamieson is, of course, making his course debut and that didn't seem to matter in the early season events, but his form has certainly cooled recently with finishes of 65th, mc and 46th in his last three starts. At these odds, the value should be on the player with a good course history.

Round 2 play (4pts):

Markus Brier to beat Scott Jamieson +112 @ Unibet  TIED
Brier beat Jamieson by two shots in the first round and I cannot see why he shouldn't do so again in the second. He lies in 7th place after his opening 67 and the last time he was in a similar position - 2011 Qatar Masters, he was 6th after the opening round - he shot 66 in the 2nd round to take sole lead heading into the weekend. These odds do not reflect Brier's previous performances on this course.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Dyson tb Stenson +163 (T); Lynn tb Ramsay +100 (L); Harto tb Wiegele +105 (W); Green tb Lawrie Pe +100 (L)]

No round 3 plays.

Round 4 play (2pts):

Richard Green to beat Danny Willett -110 @ Bet365 and Paddy Power  WON by 3
Green has finished ahead of Willett in six of their last seven common events and experienced a major increase in form today - he missed only one green in regulation and jumped up 38 places on the leaderboard. Just too far off the lead to be a contender, he looks likely to continue his form tomorrow.

[unofficial rd4 system plays: Storm bt Coetzee -111 (L); Kjeldsen tb Willett +100 (L); Brier tb McGowan -110 (L); Stenson tb Wood -120 (W); Wall tb Dubuisson -105 (W); Lawrie Pe tb Finch +100 (W); Luiten tb Larrazabal -110 (W); Gonnet tb Slattery +105 (T); Montgomerie tb Carlsson -105 (W); Wilson tb Finch -120 (L)]
