Several reasons to oppose Donaldson tomorrow: he has never previously held the lead after 54 holes on the European Tour; in the two previous occasions that he has held the lead after 36 holes on the European Tour he has followed that with rounds of 82 (to drop to 46th) and 70 (to drop to 5th); he is in the final group with the World #2, Lee Westwood, who is one shot behind him and the World #6, Rory McIlroy, who is two shots behind him (World #5, Martin Kaymer, is only four shots behind Donaldson); this is the first ranking event for the 2012 Ryder Cup so a win tomorrow carries with it a significantly larger prize (and thus pressure) than usual.
