When Boyd finished ahead of Donaldson in their last common event, the Irish Open, it was the only time in the last six months that he has managed to finish ahead of Donaldson and only the second time in 2011. He now starts the weekend a shot ahead of the Welshman, but he has had a much more favourable draw with the weather than his opponent and I can only see that lead being erased tomorrow. Donaldson has finished 6th and 3rd in the last two years here and could easily add to his tally of five top-10 finishes in his last nine starts.
