No round 1 plays.

Round 2 play (4pts):

Ignacio Garrido to beat Lorenzo Gagli +105 @ 5Dimes  LOST by 2
Gagli was very impressive today, but this is only the second time that he has finished day one in the top-5 on the European Tour and he shot 73 in the next round on the previous occasion. As a Challenge Tour graduate, he has already achieved his main aim of securing his Tour Card for a second season, but I still can't see him playing as well tomorrow. Garrido has been playing well recently with finishes of 5th, 20th, 8th, mc and 34th in his last five starts and in the previous three Madrid Masters events, he has finished 10th, 7th and 28th. Very much in contention in 15th place, he has the form to be in contention for several more days.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Lynn tb Coetzee +130 (W); Willett tb Lara +105 (L)]

Round 3 play (2pts):

Marcus Fraser to beat Thomas Norret -110 @ 5Dimes  WON by 3
A 4th place finish last time out in the weak Austrian Open has given Tour rookie Norret a very small chance of retaining his Tour Card for next year, but he will need to more than double his current year earning to catch Jamie Elson in 115th place in the R2D standings. After having dropped down to 21st place after his 2nd round 72, there appears to be little hope that he will make up that difference this week. Under that pressure and forced to 'chase', he should make more mistakes than Fraser who ranks over 400 place above in the World Rankings.

[unofficial rd3 system plays: Webster tb Gagli +110 (L); Dredge tb Goya -110 (W); McGinley tb Tullo -105 (T); Webster tb Wilson -105 (L); Garcia-Heredia tb Saltman L +105 (L)]

Round 4 play (2pts):

Anthony Kang to beat Pedro Oriol -105 @ 5Dimes  LOST by 4
Opposing Oriol who record on the European Tour this year reads: played 13; cuts made: 2; best finish: 51st. This is the first time in three attempts that he has made the cut in this event, but I can't see him maintaining his current 20th place position. Kang is in the much better form - in the last seven weeks, he has made the cut five times and recorded three top-15 finishes.

unoffcial rd4 system plays: Rumford tb Floren -125 (L); Aiken tb Gagli -110 (L); Rumford tb Monasterio -145 (L)]
