Winning the Matchplay will do one of two things for the Belgian - either he will find it hard to come back to Earth so quickly, or he will thrive. I feel it will be the latter. Still bitter about tipping him to be a winner on Tour two years ago, he went unbacked then but won't do this week. Unusually I am going to ignore moderate course form; the 12th is now a Par-5 again and his length must be an advantage, giving him short irons into many of these holes. He holds a mental advantage on G-Mac having beaten him in last weeks final and with seven Top-10's already this year he can add further weight to his claims for a Ryder Cup place.   

G-Mac himself is in moderate form and looks to be struggling for consistency. I simply don't see where he finds the improvement or the game he held just a year or so ago. A Top-15 may well do for the younger player.
