BACK Adam Scott to win 100pts @42 (i.e. stake 2.44pts) Adam Scott has been threatening to finally put it together and win all season. His schedule seems to now be based entirely around majors so if he's going to peak somewhere it could well be here. He has been at the course since last week practising and seems to be very positive about his game. BACK Zach Johnson to win 100pts @90 (i.e. stake 1.12pts) Zach racked up win number 9 last week, which of course includes one major already. It's sometimes easy to forget how much he has acheived - and he's still only in his mid-30s. His ability to plot his way round the course should be important here with the rough very thick. BACK Simon Dyson to win 100pts @140 (i.e. stake 0.72pts) Dyson has always done well on links courses and with his more illustrious country-men continually wilting under the weight of expectation in majors maybe it will be him who can break the English barren spell. He could be inspried by good friend Jamie Donaldson's win in the Irish Open. BACK Carl Pettersson to win 100pts @240 (i.e. stake 0.42pts) Pettersson is an under-rated player, with 5 wins to his name including this year's Heritage at Harbour Town Links, which while not exactly a proper British links course does still bear some comparison - Davis Love for one excelled in both events over the course of his career. Pettersson does have an Open top 10 to his name - in 2006 - so is not without some form in the event. |
