Kristoffer Broberg 0.50 points ew @ 150-1 (Boylesports 1/4 1234) Kristoffer Broberg 4 points Top-10 @ 5-1 (General) Whilst it does seem a tremendous task for the Swede to gain his maiden win from 7 behind and in such a prestigious event, this season looks like being the one that confirms the old guard are on their way out. Recent results on the PGA Tour suggest that regular events can now be won by anyone and with the improvement in the likes of Ben An, Matthew Fitzpatrick and current leader Lucas Bjerregaard (all prominent this week) there is no reason why this cannot be the case on the European Tour. Broberg has disappointed over the last year despite decent results despite five top-10s, and his best effort is probably that runner-up in the 2014 Scottish Open. He knows that the issue is putting and if he works on that (or he has a lucky weekend) surely his continual accuracy and iron-play will reap reward. Once again he ranks highly in all accuracy stats this week, being 18th off the tee and 13th in GIR but this is not news, and surely some day his Prince will come - at the price available it is rude not to have a small wager that his attacking style pays over the weekend and he can at least grab a place. Broberg has the regular low Sunday round in his locker and with this event looking as open as ever, he looks too big at the general 5-1 to take a place on the front page of the leaderboard given he is only a couple of shots outside of that placing at halfway.
