While there clearly isn't the same jetlag issues for the Open players in Switzerland this week, i'd still rather side with the fresh Max Kieffer against David Howell, despite the Englishman's strong showing at St Andrews. Howlers all-round stats suggest he hasn't played quite as well as his results of late suggest, and his record around this pretty unique track is more miss than hit. Kieffer was a very impressive thirteenth on debut in 2013, and a MC last year is very forgivable given he has come on leaps and bounds in the last six months or so. Howell leads the overall h-2-h but the German has closed the gap this season and a looks a player to keep on side for a good while yet.
6.3 pts Max Kieffer to beat David Howell at 20/21 with VC. |
