5-0; +1.81pts

Pre-tournament plays:

LAY 20pts liability

Zander Lombard 110  51st
Haydn Porteous 44  mc
Seve Benson 360  19th
Brett Rumford 360  19th
Lombard has played only once in the last four weeks and shot 85-79 in the Sun City Challenge on the Southern Africa so he is an easy player to oppose when also making his course debut
The big-hitting Porteous reached the quarter-finals of the Paul Lawrie Match Play, but his form has otherwise been poor - he has finished mc-mc-74th-mc-mc-mc-30th in his last seven strokeplay events so these odds look rather short for a player who also finished 60th in his previous visit here
Benson is on a run of three missed cuts, missed the cut in his previous visit here and hasn't secured a top-10 finish in any Tour event since March 2014; I would price him in the 'no chance' category
Rumford has missed his last six cuts and lost in the first round of the Paul Lawrie Match Play, so it another easily put into the 'no chance' category

Pre-rd4 play:

LAY 20pts liability

Matthew Fitzpatrick 20  5th
It's a case of deja-vu for Pieters and Fitzpatrick - Pieters was leading after 54 holes last year and moved away from the field during the final round; Fitzpatrick started the day five shots back and finished 3rd - this year Pieters has a two-shot lead over the pack and, while Fitzpatrick is again five shots back, he is down in 6th place whereas last year he started the final round in 4th place. On the other occasion that Pieters led after 54 holes (2014 Open de Espana), he was also leading after 72 holes, so I don't expect him to struggle tomorrow and that makes these odds too short for Fitzpatrick without help from the Belgian.
