10-3; +1.03pts

Pre-tournament plays:

BACK 2pts

Anthony Wall 290 & lay 8pts @ 70  mc
A 3rd place finish in only start this year (Joburg Open) shows that Wall is in good form and cuts made in each of the last five years (finishes of 42nd or higher each time) here show that he should be lower odds than this.

Alejandro Canizares 370 & lay 4pts @ 140  8th
Another player in good form - he got within a shot of Fowler in Abu Dhabi two weeks ago before finishing 5th, then he finished 27th last week - and with five cuts made in six attempts, he is another who should be at lower odds.

David Howell 430 & lay 4pts @ 160  63rd
And another player who has been in very good form recently - he was 2nd after rd1 in the Joburg Open and 7th after rd1 (and 4th after rd2) in the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. Another good start and he should reach 160 with ease.

LAY 20pts Liability

Thomas Pieters 34  mc
Stephen Gallacher 100  mc
Bryson DeChambeau 240  18th
Thorbjorn Olesen 46  8th
Andy Sullivan 30  2nd
Pieters' odds are too short given that he finished 42nd on his course debut last year and was unimpressive last week; Gallacher has an extremely good course history, but really struggled with form and injury last year and has missed both cuts this year; DeChambeau started well in Abu Dhabi, but is ultimately without a top-50 finish this year; Olesen finished 2nd last week, but these odds are too short - he has been 90 and 75 at the start of the tournament in each of the last two weeks; similarly, Sullivan is too short at 30 - he was 50 at the start of his last event, the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.

Pre-rd3 plays:

LAY 20pts liability

Rory McIlroy 11  6th
Mikko Ilonen 180  16th
Byeong Hun An 24  4th
McIlroy was missing the cut until four birdies in the last six holes, so he's back in the tournament but these odds are too short given that he is in 23rd place and struggling to find the fairways; Ilonen is also in 23rd place (along with 13 other players), but his ball-striking stats have been poor so far this week, so there appears to be little hope that he can surmount this deficit; while An is the best-placed of the three, but 24 is also too short for a player in 12th place who ranks outside the top-50 so far in driving distance, driving accuracy, greens in regulation and scrambling.

Pre-rd4 plays:

LAY 20pts liability

Joost Luiten 11.5  8th
Brett Rumford 170  24th
Luiten is only three behind Willett, but is without a top-20 in six attempts on this course and ranks 28th in greens in regulation so far, so looks unlikely to be able to reach the top of his game tomorrow on this course; Rumford has played even worse - ranked outside the top-50 in greens in regulation - and is six shots off the pace.
