Backing a player who was 2nd in his penultimate start before the event - it was only a hugely impressive finish by Thomas Pieters that denied him victory in the Made in Denmark event and the key to Dredge's success that week was his all-round ball-striking and particularly his short game. Given that the GC Milano is also a short course with small greens, those will be key factors in determining this week's winner and Dredge shouldn't be too far from the leaderboard if he can retain some of his form from Denmark LAY 20pts liability Eddie Pepperell 380 mc

Pepperell has played in each of the last four weeks and missed the cut every time; with missed cuts in both Italian Opens so far, including last year on this course, there is plenty of reason to oppose Pepperell this week
Luiten wasn't a good example last week that players are over-priced and over-pressured in their home Open, but I'll still follow the same logic with Manassero who hasn't looked like contending since his 3rd place finish in the Scottish Open - his only top-10 finish in the last two years
It has been 55 starts and almost three years since Hansen secured a top-10 finish on the European Tour; I'd say the risk is very small that he will both break that run and contend for this event
