Dodt finished 2016 in good form, but this is his first start of the year, against a much stronger field and on a course on which he has missed three of four cuts. High odds but worthy for a player who missed more cuts than he made in 2016.
Levy made a lot more cuts last year and even won the European Open, but finishes of mc-56th-20th-mc in his four previous appearances suggest that he is another who has yet to perform at this best on this course.
Karlsson does have a top-10 finish here three years ago, but he has managed just three in the last two seasons, so he looks likely to secure his next one on the seniors Tour in two years time and so can be opposed this week Pre-rd3 plays: LAY 20pts liability Alex Noren 65 13th
These odds seem rather short for a player six shots off the pace and down in 20th place. This is his 10th appearance in this event and he has finished in the top-30 just once so far, so 20th place looks about right for a player who is much improved, now 10th in the World Rankings, but without any previous success on this course. No rd4 plays.
