TOMMY FLEETWOOD 2 points each-way 14/1 1/4 1234

Although very tempted by Jordan Smith I cannot resist backing the in-form Fleetwood at this price, just three off the lead.

Recent running of the BMW suggest it is hard to come from miles off the pace. Whilst Zanotti went 65/65 to come from 45th at halfway, the winner generally comes from the final few pairs. Indeed, the worst finish from a halfway leader was a typical Cabrera-Bello collapse, finishing 11th.

Smith is a winner waiting to happen. Overall game is great, stats are good and suggest better than recent overall finishes and whilst he is a maiden at this level, it won't be long given his aggression and desire to win.

However, given I don't trust either Stenson or Garcia at short prices, recent US Open 4th gets a very confident vote.

Winner in Abu Dhabi at the start of the year, that form was reversed in the WGC in Mexico, neither defeat or conquering Dustin Johnson Reading bad form at all!

Top10 in the high class Arnold Palmer suggested what many have thought, that he is going to the top and he preceded his terrific Major effort with a closing 2nd in Shenzhen.

Highlights of many of his finishes are weekend rounds, with 63,66,67 all showing in high class events. If we then add to that a weekend of 69/67 the last time he played here in 2015 when 26th, his consistency in ranking  top10 for driving accuracy, GIR, scrambling and improved putting, he makes very significant appeal.
