16-1; +0.95pts Pre-tournament plays: BACK 1pt Henrik Stenson 36 11th The top of the market shows just how open this event is this week and I think the Swede has a chance of repeating Harrington's of winning back-to-back Opens when the event was last played at Royal Birkdale in 2008. On that occasion, Stenson finished 3rd - his fourth top-3 finish in his last eight Opens, including last year's win - so he can certainly play well on links courses and across such a range of different links courses over that period. His form has been inconsistent - and that is the reason for these inflated odds - but he has finished 3rd in the BMW PGA Championship and 10th in the BMW International Open over the last couple of months and he played particularly well on Sunday when 6-under-par through 14 holes, so I would certainly price him at lower odds than this. LAY 20pts liability
Alex Noren 60 6th Justin Thomas 80 mc Ian Poulter 100 14th Matthew Fitzpatrick 140 44th Chris Wood 160 14th Martin Kaymer 160 37th Thorbjorn Olesen 200 62nd Ryan Fox 200 mc Tyrell Hatton 210 mc Bryson Dechambeau 230 mc Callum Shinkwin 270 mc Si-Woo Kim 300 mc Bubba Watson 310 27th Gary Woodland 320 70th Ernie Els 350 61st Hideto Tanihara 380 mc Noren's five Tour wins in the last year sees him jutifiably inside the top-10 in the World Rankings, but he has a very poor record in the Majors with just two top-20 finishes in 16 attempts and a best finish of 9th Distance off the tee is never a major factor in this event and that doesn't suit Thomas who finished 53rd in his event debut last year; he was leading the U.S. Open after 54 holes last month, but he has missed the cut in his two events since that 3rd round 63 and failed to break par in any of those rounds The rest are players that are triple-digit odds whose odds are still too low in my book
