Nachos Elvira 4 points Top-10 @ 15-2 (Ladbrokes) With Carnoustie proving as easy as host course St Andrews today, the event is at the mercy of the weather. Poor conditions would make it virtually impossible to catch any of the front lot that are playing the host course over the next couple of days, and whilst that will probably be the case anyway, it isn't a complete stretch to see some movement tomorrow from those slightly behind - providing the weather is fair. I can't really see all of the top lot giving it away so rather than guess the winner from there, I'm taking a few points on Nachos Elvira to pounce on the front page of the board. Whilst the Spaniard hasnt shown much in a trio of attempts in this event, he did shoot his best in round three (and four) and is certainly a better and more consistent player this year, so much so that a win is expected in the near future. Playing Carnoustie tomorrow is usually a warning sign but that course offered plenty of 5-under scores today, with in-form and Links-loving Hatton and Fleetwood beating that score by two and four shots respectively. With five top-20s from his last seven 'proper' events (not including the matchplay) he is in rude health, following up a 7th in Portugal with a come-from-behind 11th at Close House last week. Current price of 15-2 looks big considering that recent form, he has the length to exploit the par-5s, and can continue an impressive recent run. I was tempted by the 150-1 outright but simply cannot see anyone bar the top-4 or 5 winning.
