Ranked in the top three for 3 year, 8 week and 3 year Japanese scoring averages (plus 4th for 1 year) and yet the books have him ranked about 6th or 7th in this field. Not a huge gap, but enough. Possibly a consequence of his generally poor PGA campaign but there has been an improvement there in recent weeks which clinches it.
