Early play. Not the most reliable player, and she last made the top five at this level in July 2011, but she was sixth last year and won on the LETAS Tour last week. The field was poor quality but she wouldn't be the first to use the confidence gained by playing well on that tour to reap rewards in the following weeks on the main tour.

38th on her debut in a pro event - last year's first major, the Kraft Nabisco. Only one player in this field was ahead of her (the fav). Not many of them were in the field, but not many LET players make the top 40 of a major in the US. Then 5th on her LET debut in Turkey and two top 20s to follow, both in stronger fields than this one. All in all worth a go. (Incidentally swerving Jutanugarn the fav only because it might be blowy.)

Result: +4.75 pts as Hull finished joint second to Jutanugarn.
