Jamie Farr Kroger Classic

Outright plays (1.5 units):

Karrie Webb to win 12/1 e.w. @ Stan James
Webb will be vying for her first win in twelve months this week and there are good signs that she is getting closer to that goal. In her last events, she has eliminated the 'one bad round' that has plagued her most of the year and the result has been successive top-5 finishes. She has shown that form in this event already with four top-5 finishes in six starts and she is generally single-figure odds, so this looks value.

Beth Daniel to win 25/1 e.w. @ William Hill
Daniel also has an impressive record in this event without actually winning: four top-6 finishes in her last eight attempts and outside the top25 only once in the last nine. She is also in good form, having won the Canadian Women's Open last month and followed that with top-15 finishes in the Big Apple Classic and Women's British Open when she had been high up the leaderboard both times halfway through the event. Against a relatively weak field, she should be a strong contender with Pak and Webb for the title.

Candie Kung to win 33/1 e.w. @ William Hill
Kung was certainly a strong challenger last week when she had been the leader after the 1st and 2nd rounds, but faltered in the 3rd round to finish 5th. She can win though, as she showed when lifting the Takefuji Classic title in April and she has shown good form since. She had not been playing when before this event last year and she will certainly improve on that 56th place finish.

Outrights: 0-3; -4.50 units

Webb mc
Daniel 12th
Kung mc

Won the two large matchup plays to limit the losses on the event. Won one other matchup which was a hedge play against an outright and should have looked for two more! Webb and Kung missed the cut, while Daniel made it by a single shot. Poor performance and lucky not to have lost more on this event.
