CJ Nine Bridges Classic
FINAL RESULT: 4-0-0; +9.00pts
Ahn/Pak WON by 3
Stupples/Davies WON by 6
Stanford/Marti WON by 16
Matthew/Park WON by 4
Very pleasing event and nice to get back over
60% winners in matches on this Tour.
54-hole plays (1.5pts unless stated):
Shi Hyun Ahn to beat Se Ri Pak +100 @
Five
Dimes
Pak is struggling badly at the moment. She has finished inside the
top-10 only once in the last five months and could not even do so in a
lowly Japan LPGA event last year. She has finished ahead of the
defending champion only twice in their last ten common events so clearly
should not be the favourite in this match.
Karen Stupples to beat Laura Davies -111 @
Centrebet
Stupples has dominated this match in 2004, finishing ahead of Davies in
eight of their last nine common events since July. Davies did finish 2nd
here last year, but Stupples can also draw on two years' of course
experience so her form should carry her through to victory in this match
again this week.
(also available at Stan James and Five Dimes)
Angela Stanford to beat Paula Marti -114 @
Expekt
[3pts]
Marti finished 2nd in the last Ladies European Tour event of the year to
end a run of three missed cuts, but otherwise in poor form and with no
course experience she looks set to struggle again this week. Stanford's
form has certainly improved over the last month, but with a 8-3-2 h2h
record against Marti beforehand, it probably didn't need to in order ot
win this match.
Catriona Matthew to beat Gloria Park -114 @
Expekt
[3pts]
Should expect an improved performance from Park in South Korea and she
did finish 2nd last year, but Matthew is a good traveller and has
finished 11th and 16th in the last two years here. She has also finished
ahead of Park in six of their seven common events since August, so home
advantage should not be enough for Park.
