FINAL RESULT (1-2; +12pts) Hmm ... the par five 72nd proves costly. A birdie for Maria Hjorth (4th) would have given us the win in the w/o Ochoa market, par would have sealed a tie. She bogied (as she did on Saturday) to miss out altogether. Lee and Tseng both finished T21. Outright plays (9pts staked) Maria Hjorth 1pt ew @ 80-1 (BlueSq, 888.com) and 1pt win w/o Ochoa @ 45-1 (Bet365) Strong performer last year who rediscovered her form in time for the first major of 2008 with a 6th last week. Three top tens here. Jee Young Lee 1pt ew @ 45-1 (Paddy Power, Skybet) and 1pt win w/o Ochoa @ 25-1 (Better, Betdirect, Stan James) 6 of her last 7 starts in Majors have reaped top 14 finishes. Only one of those actually made the places but she does seem to enjoy the big weeks, was 13th here in 2007 and bounced back to form with second at Superstition Mountain last Sunday. Ya-Ni Tseng 1pt ew @ 66-1 (Skybet) and 1pt win w/o Ochoa @ 40-1 (Bet365) Very talented youngster who has shown good form this year: 8th and 25th in Hawaii, 2nd in Mexico, 14th last week. |
