Inland Empire Open

Again no outright plays on this Tour though Tjaart van der Walt does look a decent each-way play @ 25/1 with Simon Bold. Just matchups this week.

72-hole plays:

Tjaart van der Walt to beat Todd Barranger -111 @ Simon Bold
Barranger hit some form in June/July when he won the Dayton Open and finished in the top-10 on three other occasions, but he has finished no better than 30th since. Van der Walt, on the other hand, is moving into form with finishes of 4th and 2nd in the last two events and with a fine 11th place last year, looks set for another good week

Patrick Burke to beat Rob Bradley -111 @ Simon Bold [2 units]
This one will decided on Friday night. Bradley has missed his last five cuts and did the same on this course last year. Burke also missed the cut last year, but still finished ahead of Bradley, and is in much the better form, averaging three shots per round lower in the last three events.

Mid-point update:

Just as well I didn't play the outrights ... Tjaart van der Walt withdrew after a poor first round 73. It meant the play against Barranger was a loss. Could still return a profit on the week if Burke maintains his lead over Bradley, though it is only one shot at this stage.

Final update: 0-2-0 and -3.33 units

That most irritating of lost plays ... a tie at a Euro book   Burke and Bradley both shot 12-under-par and that means a lost wager at Simon Bold. With van der Walt quitting after one round, this was a particularly frustrating event. Maybe time to lay off the matchups as well on this Tour
