Selections this week:-

All 1pt ew

Jason Day 12/1 @ Bet365  13th

Whilst the odds are a little shorter than I would like I still think Day represents good value in a somewhat "weakened" field this week. He is also in sizzling form shooting 17 under last weekend to narrowly miss out on his second title in 3 weeks. In fact his last 5 tournaments read 9,15,1,5,2 which clearly speak for itself. He now ranks second on the money list with his card for the PGA tour next year secure and see no reason why this wonder kid cannot put in another great week.

Scott Gardiner 20/1 @ Bet365 and ToteSport  19th
Having had a great run of form with 3 tops 5s in a row followed by a 16th before "burning" himself out at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. I think he will come back firing after a taking a week off last week. Gardiner also has great course form finishing 3rd here last year whilst the form going into this event last year was no where near as good as it is now. This is definitely a week of soaring temperatures and I think that fitness and acclimatisation will also play a big part and again Gardiner fits the bill on both of these fronts.

Steven Bowditch @ 50/1 Generally  mc
Has started showing signs of his game returning and was actually T8 th in the number of birdies made last week alongside leading the driving distance stats. Once "Bowdo" starts getting his driver going then it is only a matter of time before this aggressive golfer returns to the winners circle. Not only has his game started returning but I am sure he will also be feeding of Jason Day (of whom he is good friends). As mentioned, he is an aggressive player and if he has a good week with the putter (had 30 putts in 3 of 4 rounds last week) we should see him go close this week

Arjun Atwal @ 50/1 ToteSport  54th
A slightly speculative play in that he missed the cut last week but do thing the odds of 50/1 with Totesport are way too big (only 28/1 with Bet 365.) Played PGA tour last year and although has had mixed success this year I cannot refuse these odds for such a quality player. He did in fact finished 3rd on this tour on his previous outing before last week and has in fact made every other cut on this tour. The conditions will provide no problem and I expect a good week at great odds.
