The Web.com Tour travels to south west Miami this week for the Miccosukee Championship and the third to last event of the 2012 season and the second to the last full field event. This week will be as much about strategy as it will be about trying to win as those looking to feature at the Tour Championship in Dallas in two weeks will need to be inside the top 60 on the money list. Miccosukee Golf & Country Club is a Mark Mahannah designed par 71 course measuring 7,200 yards and brings water into play at every corner while its greens are Tifdwarf making them lightening fast and exceptionally difficult to read. Based on this information I shall be looking for players who are accurate and decent putters while also paying attention to the longer hitters on tour as the course will play long should rain hit this week as it is forcast and did last year, ultimately aiding Jason Kokrak's win. My picks are as follows. Roger Tambellini - Im not simply backing Tambellini for his sterling record here at Miccosukee (3,mc,35,8,14) but because he ticks all the right boxes in terms of stats. He is 41st in driving distance, 56th in driving accuracy and 49th in GIR not to mention ranking above average in all the putting stats. He placed 3rd here last year after arriving on a similar run of poor form and being 118th on the Money List he will have an added incentive to relive his performance from last year. 0.5pts e/w @ 150/1 Sky Bet Cameron Percy - Percy seems to tick all the boxes for me this week, ranking highly in the necessary stats, has course form and not only current but season form too. Lets start with his stats - he is 9th in GIR, a respectable 77th in DA, 31st in driving distance averaging 301.3 yards, 34th in putting average, 32nd in birdie average and throw into the mix 13th in scoring average. In terms of course form, Percy has played Miccosukee three times, having made the cut just once but on closer inspection he has shot three rounds in the sixties (as low as 66) so he knows how to go low here. Finally, his season form has been fairly good, with two runner ups, three top 10s and five top fifteens which all put him 10th on the money list and more importantly, two starts ago he finished 2nd in the WNB Golf Classic. 1pt e/w @ 55/1 Paddy Power
