Michael Putnam 1pt e/w @ 16/1 Various

I know it seems a bit of a cop out backing the favourite this week but truth be told he not only has the game to fit Hillcrest but he also has the course form. Runner up here last year, Putnam should have won the event as he went into the final round leading but capitulated and finished the round level par. He holds the 36 and 54 hole records here and has posted six rounds of 66 or better so is more than comfortable with the course. In terms of stats, he is 3rd in Bogey Avoidance, 2nd in GIR, 4th in Scoring Average and 9th in Par Breaking, all of which will fare him well on the third easiest layout on the Web.com. His form has dipped of late but lets not forget that he has only missed 3 cuts all year and has two wins, a runner up and seven top tens in just 15 appearances.

Alex Prugh 0.5pts e/w @ 45/1 Various

Prugh has had somewhat of a resurgence in form since the end of May when he finished 2nd in the Mexico Championship, from there he went on to record a 6th and a 3rd. Recently his results have tapered a little but last time out he finished 28th, closing with a 65 at the Midwest Classic. He is 1st in GIR, 7th in Par Breaking, 8th in Scoring Average, 30th in Total Driving and a respectable 41st in Bogey Avoidance, all of which will help at Hillcrest. He has played the course three times and although two missed cuts don't inspire with confidence it is worth noting that he was desperately out of form in 2012 and he can boast a 13th back in 2008 where he posted all four rounds in the 60s.

Richard S Johnson 0.25pts e/w @ 80/1 Sky Bet

Sitting 44th on the Money List, Johnson stood out to me as his stats seemed to fit the bill for Hillcrest. He is notoriously one of the straightest hitters on Tour and his 2nd ranking in Driving Accuracy reflects this quite clearly. He also sits 8th in GIR and 7th in Bogey Avoidance to further support his cause for being backed despite this being his first Boise outing and subsequent lack of course form. His current form is most certainly progressive though with his last three tournaments results reading 37th/21st/14th so hopefully he can push forward and get into the winner's circle and get himself in the top 25 of the Money List.
