Will MacKenzie 1pt e/w @ 40/1 Sky Bet

It was a tough choice to differentiate between MacKenzie and Peterson as my headline tip but I went with MacKenzie simply due to the fact that he has experience of both the course and of winning on tour. Last year the seasoned pro managed to finish 16th at Victoria National, had it not been for a final round 75 then he would have likely been up there challenging for the title. He is highly accurate being 2nd in GIR on Tour and a respectable 77th in Driving Accuracy, not to mention 8th in Ball Striking. When it comes to scoring, he is 11th in Scoring Average (70.03), 40th in Birdie Average and 1st in Par 5 Birdies or Better (interestingly a stat that last year's winner Tomasalo ranked very highly in). It is also worth noting that Mackenzie is 17th in Scrambling and 6th in Sand Saves which will both help him should he miss the greens or fall foul of the many hazards he will face this week.

Daniel Chopra 0.5pts e/w @ 66/1 Sky Bet

Swede Chopra has been enjoying somewhat of a resurgence in form recently on the Web.com with six top 20s so far in 2013 and a very impressive 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic Championship at the start of this month. Always known as a consistent putter, Chopra ranks 1st in Putts Per Round, 2nd in Putting Average, 3rd in Birdie or Better Conversion Percentage, 34th in Birdie Average and 17th in Scoring Average (70.16). Whilst his Accuracy stats are nothing special, he does rank 42nd in Scrambling and has a 40%+ average in Sand Saves. Last year a second round 77 saw him miss the cut but he comes here in much better form and should be able to dominate the greens.

Michael Connell 0.5pts e/w @ 150/1 Bet365

37 year old journeyman Connell was the surprise choice for me this week when trawling through the Web.com Tour stats in so much as he was a standout player at triple figure odds. While it is true that he has never won on either the Web.com or PGA Tours, he was a triple winner on the Hooters Tour and can boast a 3rd at the BMW earlier this year. He is highly accurate, ranking 11th in GIR and 31st in Driving Accuracy and should he find the sand then he is highly adept as he sits in 2nd position for Sand Saves. Throw into the mix his 7th in Scrambling and his 8th in Birdie Average and more importantly his 69.85 in Scoring Average and Connell seems the ideal fit for this course. He played the course last year and played the first two rounds in par or better but a third round 77 saw him lose his way. I am hoping that last year's experience will hold him in good stead along with his impressive stats.
