North Carolina is the next stop for the Web.com and the TPC Wakefield Plantation course. A Par 71 track that comes in at 7,250 yards, TPC Wakefield seems very much to be a horses for courses venue as Kyle Thompson has proved with three victories here. The fairways are lined by pine trees and offer challenges such as numerous creeks winding through the course and strategically placed ponds. This will be a shot maker's paradise and will be won by someone who can accurately plot their way around the course. My picks are as follows:
Kyle Thompson - 1pt e/w @ 40/1 - Hard not to back a man who has won three times around here and also won on the tour this year. He is a very hot and cold player but I am hoping he can replicate his form again this week. Brad Fritsch - 0.5pts e/w @ 50/1 - He takes a step down from the PGA Tour this week to a course where he has two top 10s. He hasnt been playing too badly on the PGA, missing only two cuts in seven appearances and should be sided with. Tyler Duncan - 0.5pts e/w @ 66/1 - I cant not back a player who comes here on the back of a 3rd and 2nd in his last two outings. He has played Wakefield Plantation twice before without ever really challenging but comes here in much better form.
Total Staked - 4 pts
