It is quite refreshing to find a nice detailed preview of the Abaco Club on the PGA Tour site this week as it really helps to build a profile of a player who should be suited to the course.

We learn that Abaco is a links style course on the coast of the Caribbean that will be heavily exposed to the wind picking up and in turn provide a real test of course management. Darren Clarke was quoted as saying that the course is 'not unlike some of the ones I grew up playing around Ulster' so those with experience of links golf will certainly be at an advantage this week.

It is also apparent that putting will feature heavily this week as last year the top three finishers went on to finish in the top 25 on tour for birdie or better conversion percentage.

It is still early on in the season and as mentioned last week, rustiness is an issue so stakes will again be kept low.

My picks are as follows:

Curtis Luck - 1pt e/e @ 20/1 - We were unlucky with Luck last week as he played really well and lead the field in birdies but just came up short. He's an Aussie which means he should be able to cope with the winds that will be present this week. He is a fantastic talent and will undoubtably win on the Tour this year, hopefully this week.

Brett Drewitt - 0.5pts e/w @ 66/1 - Third last week and unlucky not to keep his PGA Tour card last year, Drewitt should be a notch above most of this week's field. He is another Aussie who should be adept at links golf and was 3rd in most birdie related attributes last week.

Jimmy Gunn - 0.125pts e/w @ 200/1 - Yes he has had a terrible run of it as late but last week was the first cut he has made in a long time and must be seen as a positive. He recorded his highest ever Web.com finish here last year when finishing runner up and being a Scot should be praying for windy weather due to his experience of links golf.  Last year he was 22nd in Birdie or Better Conversions whcih is a good sign and last week his putting was a lot better than his finish suggested. He is a big price, lets risk him.

Total Staked - 3.25pts
