Hillcrest Country Club is the host course this week as we rapidly approach the Tour Final. A Par 71, 6,800 yard layout, Hillcrest has very much a resort course feel to it and can yield low scores - it would be a surprise if the winner wasnt in the -20s. There should also be a premium placed on accuracy and course management as most tees are played at 2,800 ft above sea level. My picks are as follows:
Cameron Champ - 1pt e/w @ 34/1 - A great young player with the best scoring average on tour over the last three months and 3rd best over the year. He seems to perform well on resort style courses and for such a young guy, has great course management. Sam Burns - 1pt e/w @ 45/1 - Currently 3rd on the money list and looking like a great young prospect. He is 4th on tour in Scoring Average, 10th in Ball Striking and can boast 4 top 10s so far this year. Anders Albertson - 0.5pts e/w @ 80/1 - A slightly leftfield pick but a player who has performed well all year with 8 top 10 finishes, including a win at the Lincoln Land where he carded a -19. He is 6th for Scoring Avergae and 3rd in Putting Average. Two missed cuts here are a slight worry but he is a much better player now.
