This week heads to the Ianhoe Club in Illinois which has been described as a shot makers course for someone who can shape and flight the ball, has a decent short game and who is a sharp shooter around the greens. The potential winner here will need to rank highly in the All Around ranking, Ball Striking and Scrambling. My picks are as follows:
Roberto Castro - 1pt ew @ 21/1 - The first player on my shortlist this week as he ranks so highly in all the required stats. He is 4th in Scrambling, 11th in Ball Striking and number 1 in the All Around. He is one of the form players on the Web.com at the moment and has just qualified for the US Open. Sungjae Im - 1pt ew @ 25/1 - Its hard to look past Im who will be riding the crest of a wave following his qualification for the US Open. He is 2nd in the All Around and 6th in Ball Striking ranking so ticks those boxes. The slight worry is that this is his first look at the course but in all honesty, that hasnt hindered him so far this year. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano - 0.5pts ew @ 80/1 - Gonzo played well in Italy on the European Tour last week and bar his opening round of 70, would have finished higher than 30th. He is a quality ball striker and should fit well here as his pervious finish of 9th back in 2016 shows.
Total Staked - 5pts
