Tipsters: Andy & Shaker

Buick Classic

Tournament trades by Shaker

Sell Dennis Paulson FP at 37 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts
"The Chief" made two playoffs here in 1999 and 2000, winning one of them, so obviously likes this course. His record the last three years here has been very poor but he has not come into any of those events in anything like the form he does this year (made all 11 cuts with 6 top 25s) and I think he can put up a good showing this week.
MU 25, Profit 6 pts.
So annoying, with 8 holes to play he was looking firmly at a top ten or even top five finish.

Sell Phil Mickelson/Sergio Garcia 72H MB at 0.85 with Sporting Index for 0.5 pts
To get this price you need to use the "My Matchmakers" facility, but any problems and the sell at 0.5 with Cantor Sport is perfectly acceptable. Garcia loves the course and always performs well here with finishes of 3rd/1st/12th/4th the last four years, and he has also won on tour in the past month. Mickelson has had a short break and will surely have one eye on the US Open next week, has gone MC/35th on his last two outings as his putting has deserted him, and neither of his two finishes here recently are as good as even Garcia's worst showing.
MU -7, Profit 3.92 pts.
Matchup went really well with Garcia stretching clear in the last two-thirds of round four.
Overall Profit 9.92 pts

Sell Jay Haas FP at 34 with Cantor Sports for 0.5 pts MU 50, Profit -8 pts

Are Spread firms ageist. They must be to continually price Jay Haas in the mid 30s. Another FP win last week, one of many had you been a serial seller of Jay's FP. This used to be a great ploy 2 years ago, to sell Nick Price every week as he was continually over-priced. This year its an even older player in Haas. Form figures of 5 top 20's in 7 events suggest anyone who has been a regular buyer of Haas will not be going on any expensive holiday this summer.

Sell Scott Verplank FP at 32 with Cantor Sports for 0.5 pts MU 29.5, Profit 1.25 pts

The other type of player that the firms seem to always price wrong is a steady but unspectacular player. Like a Scott Verplank for instance. In his last 13 events he has covered this price 10 times. However, he is regularly priced higher than players who do not consistently perform to the standards he sets. An example playing this week is Chad Campbell.

Summary: Any small profits won on Europe were given away here as Haas, who had looked like creeping into the weekend, fell away late Friday.
