72-hole plays (1.5pts unless stated):

Stephen Ames to beat K.J. Choi +110 @ William Hill and Easybets [3pts]
There was enough evidence from Ames' golf last week to suggest that he is slowly returning to the form that he showed in the first half of this year. The same cannot be said for Choi who may have three top-10 finishes in his last eight starts, but also five finishes outside the top-50. Ames has finished ahead of him in each of their last two common events and on the two occasions that they have both played in this event. On that basis, I'll take these odds.

Kenny Perry to beat K.J. Choi +100 @ Pinnacle
Perry hasn't really lost any form, he has simply returned to his old ways of not playing very much and, probably as a consequence, being a solid top-20 finisher than the multi-event winner that he was last year. He has finished ahead of Choi in three of their last four common events and on the two occasions that they have both played in this event. He should not be the underdog in this match.

Jay Haas to beat Mark Calcavecchia -115 @ Olympic
And Haas is rightly not. Calc did finish in the top-10 last week, but that was the first time in over six months. Have to side with the player who leads 7-4-1 h2h in 2004.

Mark Hensby to beat Carl Pettersson +110 @ Olympic
Siding with the outright selection, though I wouldn't go much lower than the +110 currently on offer against Pettersson. The Swede has recorded three top-10 finishes in his last four events, but these have been in weaker events than those entered by Hensby who has three top-11 finishes in his last four events. Hensby also has a 9-6-1 h2h lead over his opponent so there is certainly value at these odds.
