Round One Trades
Buy Jay Haas over
Joe Ogilvie 18H MB at 4 with
Spreadex for 0.75 pts. (M/U -19, Profit -17.25 pts)
Ogilvie may suffer from being so close last week in New Orleans, however
we can only assume that as a possibility. On known form and scoring
though we are on at a great price backing Haas only giving up 4 at Quail
Hollow. Haas has been so consistent
now for months. I remember posting a couple of weeks ago that he hasn't
posted a score above 73 in
run-of-the-mill events since last summer and although that record went
with a 75 last week in Houston,
he is still posting good finishes, 7th in Harbor Town and 17th in the
Masters being an example of such. Ogilvie has improved dramatically the
last two weeks and showed up really well to stick with arguably the two
best players in the game currently in Singh and Mickelson. He shot 68
and can't be accused of having any R4 collapse. Other than this though,
his record doesn't match Haas's with a 19th the week previous his best
result by some way on this tour.
Buy Fred Funk over Craig Perks 18H MB at 8 with
Spreadex
for 0.75 points. .(M/U 19, Profit 8.25 pts)
Funk is a steady player who will hopefully be suited by the tightness of
this track. Results this year include a 10th at Sawgrass and a 6th at
the MCI Harbor Town. Perks, meanwhile, as we stated last week just
doesn't contend on this tour outside Florida, and he missed the cut
again last week. It's a high price to pay but on known form it is still
low by some 3 or 4 points.
Round Two Trades
I am at the British Masters tomorrow so these recommendations are a bit DIY. Haas lost today so we should be able to get with him again tomorrow at the same price or better. Buy Haas over Ogilvie at 4 with Spreadex for 0.75 pts.. (M/U -16, Profit -15 pts)
Round Four Trades
Buy Vijay Singh over Heath Slocum 18H MB at 12 with Cantor Sports for 0.75 pts (M/U 0, Profit -9 pts)
This is a marginal call at the price, as it was 11 earlier. With the change in server on the site it was impossible to post before now and in the meantime Cantor have upped their price by 1 pt to 12. After a bit of thought though i am going to go with it as i really do feel Singh will kick on tonight and possibly contend. Slocum is a strange one, he finished32nd at Harbor Town from the last group out but when he has been in contention before he has been ok. I will base this though totally on a belief Singh will score well, mentally helped by the fact his arch rival Woods had such a poor day Saturday.
Summary -
33 pt loss
Like in Europe with Westwood we didn't catch Ogilvie at the right time, but other weeks it has went for us so we can't moan too much. Singh blowing a 3 shot lead in the last two holes didn't help either.
