Clearly the form player in this field with finishes of 21st, 17th and
5th in his last three starts and was unlucky at the Western Open not to
qualify for a berth at St. Andrews this week. But he is a regular in
this event, having played played here every year turning joining the
Tour in 1997 and he can count four finishes in the top-11 in those eight
years. After a couple of runners-up finishes, this should be a good
opportunity for him to finally secure that maiden PGA Tour win.

The top-50 in the World Rankings as of 29th May were exempt for the Open
Championship and Kaye had been inside that mark as late as two weeks
beforehand, but not on the fateful day when it was Colin Montgomerie who
made a fleeting return to the top-50 on that date, but Kaye just
outside. But if he is fully focussed on this event, he is another who
should view this as a very good opportunity for a title and it would be
his third in three years. He has finished in the top-5 in two of his
last three visits and on ability alone, he should do so again. John
Senden to win 30/1 e.w. @

* PRICE UPDATE - Coral offer 33/1 *
Chris certainly got the standout price of 40/1 earlier today on his
Betfair page as behind this 30/1, there are only two firms - BetInternet
and BetDirect - who are 28/1. A very consistent player who misses very
cuts, he stands out in this company as a player who should feature and
repeat his top-10 finish on his debut here last year. |
